FAQs
Will the wedding be accessible for guests with special needs?
Yes, absolutely! Every effort is being made to ensure that the needs of all our guests are being met, including, but not limited to:
Auslan interpreters available for the ceremony and reception, paired with sign language guides to allow for basic communication with our Deaf/HOH guests, as well as other visual cues and enhancements (e.g. ceremony programs and signage, flashing lights, subtitled song lyrics and speeches, etc.);
Ease of access for guests with mobility concerns, with ground-level entry points, minimal stairs and/or ramps incorporated into the Chapel, Reception Hall and accommodation buildings. Please note that parts of the gardens have steep inclines along the paths, and we ask all guests to take care when moving around the estate.
Allocated breakout and quiet spaces for sensory guests.
If you have specific needs that need to be considered, please let us know using the feedback form above.
What is an “unplugged ceremony”?
As you can appreciate, we have engaged professional photography and videography services to document every special moment. We ask that all guests refrain from using their mobile devices in the Chapel during the ceremony and at all other times when instructed by the Bridal Party or our vendors.
That said, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to capture and share your experiences with us through the Celebrate app, now available to download on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Can I please bring a “plus one”?
As we have finalised our guest list and fulfilled our contractual obligations to the venue, regrettably, we cannot accommodate any more guests.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the wedding is semi-formal attire. Gentlemen are advised to wear a suit or blazer with dress pants. For ladies, a mid-length cocktail dress or dressy separates would be ideal. If in doubt, dress up, not down!
We encourage everyone to incorporate as much colour as possible and recommend bringing an extra layer (such as an overcoat) if the weather changes.
What’s happening with the Spa Day?
Unfortunately, due to logistical challenges with numerous family and friends travelling from interstate, the Spa Day that was originally scheduled for Thursday, the 3rd of April, has been cancelled. That said, you are most welcome to visit the Peninsula Hot Springs on your own accord—we highly recommend it!
Do you have a gift registry?
As we have everything we need in our home, we kindly ask that guests contribute to our honeymoon fund instead of offering physical gifts, if you are able.
Contributions can be made electronically via the Wishing Well app or by leaving your monetary gift in the wishing well in the Grand Ballroom, located next to the Bridal Table and available during the Reception. Please visit the ‘Our Dream’ webpage for more information.
I have specific dietary requirements. Can you help?
Whilst every effort will be made by Tatra Receptions to cater to all dietary requirements, there may be instances of cross-contamination during preparation (and/or instances where the venue may be unable to adhere to your requirements) that are beyond reasonable control.
Menu items may contain trace amounts of common allergens such as nuts, gluten, milk, eggs, sesame seeds, fish, shellfish, soy, and lupin.
It is strongly recommended that guests submit their dietary requirements in advance by completing the feedback form above, so that we can share this information with the venue.
Is there a bar tab? Can we set one up?
Regretfully, Tatra Receptions is unable to offer bar tab facilities.
Refreshments will be available for purchase after the Ceremony from the Outdoor Bar from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, with complimentary beverages (beer, wine and soft drink) available at the Reception from 5:30pm until 10:30pm. Please refer to the Menu on the ‘Ceremony & Reception’ webpage for more information.
Kindly note that Tatra Receptions is a 100% cashless venue and practices Responsible Service of Alcohol.
What’s a “telegram”?
In the context of a wedding in the present day, a “telegram” is a message printed on a card from friends and family who are celebrating the special day from afar. Telegrams are delivered to the Bride and Groom and then read aloud to all guests during the Reception.
Although modern technology has rendered the actual telegram obsolete, we are incorporating this “old school” tradition to add a more personal touch to your well wishes and to have them as a keepsake that we can share with future generations.
You can read more about the history of wedding telegrams here, and for those who are unable to join us, we highly encourage you to submit a telegram using the feedback form above, or send us your message via SMS or email so that we can prepare them for the big day. Short “video-grams” are also welcome!
